Sam Brown

Sam started his career in the fire service at 15 as a cadet at his local volunteer fire department. He has served numerous communities over the past 25 years as a volunteer and career firefighter, and critical care paramedic across the Midwest. Before joining ESO, Sam served as the System VP of Operations and Logistics for the University Hospitals Health System in Northeast Ohio – where he was responsible for leading the EMS-Institute, Ohio’s largest medical direction program serving over 200 communities and EMS agencies across the state. In addition, Sam has led a number of clinical and operational departments across the health system and within the ventures arm of the system. Sam holds a BBA in Information Systems from Ohio University and an MBA from Babson College in Wellesley, MA. Today, he still serves his local community as an Assistant Fire Chief and Paramedic outside of Cleveland.
