The ESO Marketing team is seeking a dynamic and motivated Senior Paid Search Manager to join our Digital Marketing team. Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, the Senior Paid Search Marketing Manager for ESO will develop, implement and optimize PPC marketing strategies to support our mission to improve community health and safety through the power of data. You will use data-driven insights to enhance campaign performance, drive acquisition, and increase return on investment (ROI). This role requires expertise in search engine marketing (SEM), keyword research, bid management, and analytics.
What You’ll Be Doing - The Day to Day
Campaign Strategy & Execution:
- Be the hands-on expert with ownership and oversight over ESO’s paid search execution, management, optimization, and reporting.
- In partnership with the Digital Marketing Manager, own the strategic elements that drive PPC performance, driving down cost of acquisition metrics while scaling SEM campaigns to meet marketing growth goals.
- Conduct in-depth keyword research, selection, and analysis to ensure optimal targeting.
- Regularly analyze audience targeting and perform competitive analysis to inform campaign strategies and ensure performance to goals are met.
- Set up and manage various types of ad campaigns, including search, display, and retargeting.
- Write and test ad copy to improve click-through rates (CTR) and conversion rates.
- Adjust bids based on performance data to maximize return on ad spend (ROAS).
Budget & Performance Management:
- Monitor daily and monthly campaign spend against the allocated budget.
- Analyze performance metrics such as CTR, CPC, CPA, and conversion rates.
- Create and present reports on campaign performance, trends, and insights.
- Identify and implement opportunities for cost-saving and budget reallocation to improve ROI.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to ensure goals are being achieved
- Work closely with the marketing team – content, design, product marketing and demand generation teams – to ensure cohesive marketing efforts.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand goals and ensure alignment of paid search strategies with business objectives.
- Stay up to date with SEM trends, algorithm changes, and best practices.
Tools & Reporting:
- Use tools like Google Analytics, Google Ads, Bing Ads, SEMrush, LookerStudio and other relevant platforms for campaign management and reporting.
- Knowledge of and ability to manage GA4 and Google Tag Manager
- Implement conversion tracking to measure and improve campaign effectiveness.
- Run A/B tests on landing pages, keywords, and ads to optimize user experience and conversion.
- Provide regular reports and insights on PPC performance, including recommendations for future improvements
Who You Are - The Essentials
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
Experience:
- More than 5 years of experience managing paid search campaigns in Google and Bing.
- Proven track record of successfully managing B2B SEM campaigns.
- Ability to maximize performance with proven record of driving strong paid media performance.
- Hands-on experience managing PPC campaigns with Google Ads, Bing Ads.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager.
- In-depth knowledge of bid management strategies, conversion tracking, and audience segmentation.
- Experience with A/B testing, ad copywriting, landing page optimization (CRO).
Skills:
- Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
